Service offering now includes PLC setup and programming
Starting in 2024, Separation Guru LLC has begun offering PLC physical setup, upgrading and programming systems from scratch. To date, experience includes equipment operation such as a complete centrifuge system and a DSP process area including a homogenizer. Experienced in Ladder logic and Function Block Diagrams. PLC systems experience is limited to stand alone setups based on current version Allen Bradley Compact or Control Logix PLC and HMI using Studio5000.
Over twenty years of relevant Experience
Upon receiving a Masters of Chemical Engineering from North Carolina State University, Ben Holcombe spent two years as an R&D Engineer, responsible for sterile process bags in the pharmaceutical industry.
Afterwards, working for Alfa Laval and gaining nearly twenty years of hands on, design and sales experience. During this time, focusing on separation technologies and rising to become an expert in disc stack centrifuges along with substantial experience in decanter centrifuges and membranes. Technical and sales responsibilities also included working with membranes and evaporators from time to time.
This experience as both an application engineer and then a market sales manager uniquely positions him to be able to understand both the technical need of the customer, as well as the process that they must undertake in order to purchase, install, start up and then operate that equipment.
EZ Off Lock Ring Tool
The EZ Off Lock Ring Tool is a tool designed to safely and easily remove and install centrifuge lock rings without the use of a sledgehammer or other activities that are potentially dangerous.
